Zenara Jaya (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your Personal Data when you (a) access or use our Platform, including TurntoHuman Jobs and TurntoHuman HRM; (b) interact with our website or services; or (c) communicate with us or submit information to us. By accessing or using the Platform you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. It should be read together with our Data Collection Notice, which provides more detailed information on how Personal Data is processed.

1. Personal Data we collect

Identification, contact, employment, account, technical and communications data.

We may collect and process the following categories of Personal Data:

2. How we collect your Personal Data

Directly from you, automatically through your use of the Platform, or from third parties.

Directly from you, including when you:

  • register an account;
  • complete your profile or submit your CV;
  • apply for jobs or use Platform features;
  • communicate with us or submit enquiries.

Automatically through your use of the Platform, including:

  • system logs and usage data;
  • cookies and tracking technologies;
  • device and browser information;
  • interactions with features and content.

From third parties, where permitted by law:

  • employers or Clients using the Platform;
  • service providers supporting our operations;
  • publicly available sources or professional platforms.

You are responsible for ensuring that the Personal Data provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.

3. Purpose of data processing

To provide TurntoHuman Jobs, manage accounts, support recruitment, communicate, improve the Platform and meet legal obligations.

We process Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • to provide and operate the Platform and services, including recruitment, job matching, and facilitating connections between candidates and Clients;
  • to manage user accounts, authenticate access, and maintain system functionality;
  • to enable Clients to review, assess, and engage with candidates for recruitment purposes;
  • to communicate with users and Clients, including responding to enquiries, providing updates, and sending service-related notifications;
  • to analyse usage patterns, improve system performance, and enhance Platform features and user experience;
  • to comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations;
  • to detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse, or security issues.

Such processing is carried out in accordance with applicable laws and based on your consent, contractual necessity, or other lawful bases where applicable.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

With Clients, service providers, regulators, affiliates and parties to corporate transactions.

We may disclose your Personal Data to the following parties for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy:

  • Clients or employers, for recruitment and job-matching purposes;
  • service providers supporting our operations, including hosting providers, payment processors, IT service providers and analytics services;
  • regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies or government bodies where required or permitted by applicable law;
  • affiliated entities within our corporate group for operational and administrative purposes;
  • any party involved in a corporate transaction, including merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third parties receiving Personal Data are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations. We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.

We do not guarantee absolute security and shall not be liable for any unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Platform and services and facilitating recruitment activities. The retention period may vary depending on:

  • the nature of the Personal Data;

Personal Data may be retained for a reasonable period after account inactivity or termination where necessary for operational, legal or compliance purposes. When Personal Data is no longer required, we may delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it in accordance with applicable laws.

Used to enable features, improve performance and analyse usage. Manageable through your browser.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience, analyse Platform usage and support system functionality. Such technologies may be used for:

  • enabling essential Platform features;
  • improving performance and user experience;
  • analysing usage patterns and interactions.

Some cookies or tracking technologies may be provided by third-party service providers supporting our operations. By continuing to access or use the Platform you acknowledge and accept the use of such technologies. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although this may affect certain functionalities of the Platform.

Independent third parties have their own privacy policies which we do not control.

The Platform may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party services, including employers, Clients and service providers. Such third parties operate independently and have their own privacy policies and practices, which are not controlled by the Company.

Where Personal Data is shared with third parties for purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such disclosure is subject to appropriate safeguards. However, the Company is not responsible for the privacy practices, actions or omissions of such third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. Any interaction with third-party services is at your own risk.

10. International data transfer

Your data may be processed outside Malaysia where necessary to operate the Platform.

Your Personal Data may be processed, stored or transferred to systems located outside Malaysia where necessary for the operation of the Platform and provision of services. Such processing may involve service providers, infrastructure or systems located in other jurisdictions.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data transferred across jurisdictions is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws. By using the Platform you acknowledge that your Personal Data may be transferred and processed outside Malaysia as described above.

We may update this Policy. Continued use of TurntoHuman Jobs constitutes acceptance of changes.

We may update, modify or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes take effect upon publication on the Platform or on the specified effective date. We may provide notice of material changes through the Platform, email or other communication channels where appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We may maintain records of versions of this Privacy Policy for reference and compliance purposes.
